JOB DESCRIPTION
Direct Staff work in homes and community to improve a individual’s life through skill acquisition and increasing appropriate behaviors, using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Staff support the individual, family, and team members delivering interventions designed specifically for each unique individual. Staff are under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Staff focuses on a variety of areas:
- Following daily routines
- Independent living
- Anger management and self-regulation
- Building appropriate relationships/interactions with family members
- Increasing effective communication skills
- Appropriate peer relationships
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with individual to increase positive behavior
- Data collection
- Daily notes
- Implementation of behavior strategies
- Assist parents and team members with behavior strategies
